Following the CPC meeting in the village hall on 21stJuly 2023, the newly formed Claygate Can Do Better campaign decided that one of the first things it should do was to undertake its own, credible, in writing and detailed survey of all small business Owners on or around The Parade.
We wanted their voice heard and were keen to get surveys back in writing from the owners, rather than part-time assistants who may not be aware of the long-term operations, finances or have the necessary retail experience of the businesses they worked in.
This is the blank survey that we sent out.
To date we have had a 44% response rate.
We will publish the results shortly, but the key is that EBC have to date undertaken NO survey or consultation with the main people and businesses that could be affected directly and indirectly by a large M&S in TLCP, which we find quite astonishing and, quite frankly, baffling!
