The Claygate Residents' Survey 2/6

Non-political and Unbiased: Setting the Record Straight.

As the political landscape heats up with local and general elections looming on the horizon, it's natural to feel a sense of apprehension. Yet amidst the political frenzy, there's one thing we want to make crystal clear: the Claygate Residents' Survey is non-political and unbiased.

Leading this initiative is the Claygate Village Association (CVA). While you may recognize us from events like Claygate in Bloom or the Christmas Lights, our roots run much deeper. Last summer, when the need arose to challenge a development plan for Torrington Lodge car park, we didn't hesitate to step up. The "Claygate Can Do Better" campaign was born out of a collective desire to ensure that residents' voices were heard before irreversible change to the village.

Now, as we embark on a new chapter with "Claygate: The Way Forward," our focus remains unwavering: to capture the essence of Claygate as envisaged by its residents. This survey isn't about politics or agendas – it's about amplifying your voice and shaping the future of our village.

Behind the scenes, volunteer working groups have been exploring key areas for the survey, from housing, shops and transportation to the environment, wellbeing and recreation. Every question has been designed to capture your perspectives, whether you agree or not.

And, rest assured, all responses will be handled equally. An independent researcher will analyse the data, ensuring that your insights are treated objectively.

So, as the survey launches officially on Saturday, 9th March 2024 on the Parade, we urge you to join us in this collective endeavour. Together, let's pave the future Claygate, guided by the values that unite us. #TheVillageSpeaks #ClaygateTheWayForward
